The Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD) supports entrepreneurs and small business owners at every stage from the idea to start-up, growth, and scale. As Durham Region’s Small Business Centre, BACD offers free, one-on-one business advisory services, practical tools, and hands-on education to help founders build strong, sustainable businesses. With more than 25 years of experience and thousands of entrepreneurs supported, BACD plays a key role in strengthening the local economy and fostering entrepreneurship across Durham Region.

We are funded by the Region of Durham and the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

BACD delivers a wide range of programs, including Starter Company Plus, Summer Company, Start Smart, and the 360 Growth Program, along with more than 130 workshops, events and webinars each year. We also lead community initiatives such as Do It In Durham Entrepreneurship Week during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Through education, coaching, and meaningful connections, BACD helps business owners gain clarity, confidence, and momentum as they move their business forward.
